• We had an empty section in our yard. I wanted a pond, but my girlfriend wanted something pretty. I think I did a good job at compromising.

• My very first salt water aquarium with marine life. I'm so proud of it. 25 gallon tank. One cleaner shrimp. Two clown fish... And some snail I just named Gary.

• It's only a 10 gallon, but here's my first tank!
• Has this hobby made anyone else more eco-conscious? I’ve always been aware of it but now I imagine a fish filled with plastic every time I throw away a plastic bottle, etc.
• 1 month transformation (fin was damaged from a filter intake he rested on, not fin rot).
• Happiest moment! Got home from two days away to find my juvenile imported pair of Aequidens rivulatus aka Green Terrors have successfully hatched their first batch of fry! Especially considering only a few weeks ago I was seriously concerned that I might lose my female. So excited!!

Has this hobby made anyone else more eco-conscious? I’ve always been aware of it but now I imagine a fish filled with plastic every time I throw away a plastic bottle, etc. Posted: 06 Feb 2019 05:41 AM PST I feel like through basic appreciation for fish and water quality, I've come to be a little conservationist lmao.
