I caught a centipede for my jar ecosystem but the trap sliced off one of its front legs, and the poor thing seems disoriented. Will it be able to hunt in my jar, and also moult to grow them back?

trying to start my first jarrarium and have a few questions

Posted: 02 Jun 2022 09:26 PM PDT

I want to add a few small shrimp like ghost shrimp and/or a couple snails I read that you should only use jars 3.5 gallons or larger if your going to use live invertebrates or the like but will a smaller 1-2 gallon jar work and if I use sand do I still need to use soil underneath the sand.

JAR OR TANK

Posted: 02 Jun 2022 10:12 AM PDT

Would you say that planted jars (aquarium) are a good way to start and find success? I have a 5 gallon tank with little to no growth. I wonder if a jar would be a good way to find success given less plants are required to load up the water column?
