When I feed Minion, and he goes into floofs up "hunting" mode, he will put his nose on the tank bottom right up to the food, and for lack of a better description, bulldoze his food around his tank for a bit before the big jumping slurp.

Anyone else see this crazy behavior? I mean I know he's one of a kind special, but is he "special"? 🤪

moving my axie cross country?

We are moving mid-July from Oregon to Minnesota, and we will be stopping over in Oklahoma to visit my family who I haven't seen since before covid. I was planning on moving my axie in a 5gal for transport and running the filter for aeration every time we stop. I know the MINIMUM for an axie is 10 gal, and he's very used to being in a 30. Is there anything I can do during the days we aren't driving to make him more comfortable? We aren't packing his tank because I will be immediately upgrading him to a 55 long when we arrive to our new home. Should I purchase a 10 for the interim? There will be a total of 3-4 weeks from start to finish depending on how long the homebuying process takes. Thanks in advance!

Hi my axolotal has become bloated. I separated him from the others into an isolation tank. He's pooped a little but not much. He has no appitite. I just woke up and he's floating upside down in his tank. Still active but unable to turn over. I just did another complete water change. Not sure of what else to do. I'm extremely worried he was the smallest when I got him and he's come so far I just don't know what to do

I just got an axolotl about 2 weeks ago. She was very scared and kept speeding around the tank when I put her in. I asked the pet shop owner and they said that it was normal, and the axolotl just had to get used to the tank. But now two weeks have passed and every time I try to feed her she acts really scared and swims away really fast immediately. Is this normal? (The axolotl is 7 months old, also I did ask the pet shop owner and they said that they wasn't sure, which is kinda concerning.)
