I found few Shrimplets in my Tank! However I supposedly have Orange Sunkist Shrimp that cannot reproduce in freshwater? What's happening here?

Shrimp swimming around tank?? Signs of breeding?

Posted: 15 Oct 2021 07:23 PM PDT

My shrimp started swimming around like crazy today. Judging from what I read it could mean water parameters or breeding. I haven't done a water change in like 3 days.

Anything I should look out for?

Survivor babies?!

Posted: 15 Oct 2021 06:43 PM PDT

So, all of my adult shrimp died rather quickly over the last week. I think I got some kind of bacterial infection. They turned white under their shells, then died. I had three berried females, all of which lost their eggs and died. Or so I thought. Tonight I've seen two tiny shrimplets hopping around the tank! I'm overjoyed that they survived, but now what? My last female just died yesterday; I haven't taken down and cleaned the tank yet. Whatever killed the adults is still in there. Do I just let it ride, and hope for the best?

Is she saddled? New to this hobby and not sure if she’s indeed saddled.

Water testing kits?

Posted: 15 Oct 2021 01:32 PM PDT

Howdy! I've been low-key thinking of getting a tank for my room for a long time, and I'm starting to high-key consider shrimp as the critter I'd like to keep in there. I have a vague plan to start out by getting a tank set up with some plants and seeing what kind of water parameters I get at baseline before I put any Creatures in it, but I just want to check if there are any specific test kit brands I should be looking at, or any to avoid. Are they all relatively the same quality/accuracy, or is there a clear winner?
