Help with dying shrimp?

Posted: 12 Oct 2021 07:17 PM PDT

I have a cycled planted tank that I added 20 neocaridina to on Friday, and every day since I have been waking up to a single dead shrimp every morning. I am waiting on a GH/KH test kit to show up, but all of my other parameters are as follows, TDS 134, PH 6.6, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 0-5.0, temperature 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Testing with the API master test kit, it is a 5 gallon fluval spec that has been cycling since august and has a cuttlefish bone and tourmaline balls. All of the shrimp seem to be acting fine and are readily accepting bacter ae and shrimp king pellets that are left in for 2 hours. Guy at my LFS said the neos were my best bet after telling him my water parameters but my research says my water would be more suitable for caridinas, would this be causing them to die? Any and all help is much appreciated

(Help Please) Are these bubbles good? They weren't here before, and they all of a sudden showed up. Also I had the tank for 2 months now.

So my blue shrimp gave birth & I ended up with about 5-6 clear ish shrimp & the rest are really blue. I’m thinking that instead of culling, I just leave them to breed in hopes that some of their babies come out blue. Or will that ruin everything

Be careful where you buy your plants! I’ve been taking out damselfly larvae for a month and caught 40-50 of them. Found the biggest one today hiding under a frogbit (~3/4 inch). Wonder how many shrimps it ate to get this big :/
