Weekly Quick Asks Thread - October 10, 2021 Posted: 10 Oct 2021 02:00 AM PDT Here is the place to post questions about pest ID, coral/fish ID, your cycle, or any other questions that generally wouldn't start up a conversation. If you have an interesting or unique question please create a new thread so everyone can discuss it in length! These are some great resources for ID's of pests/algae. [link] [comments]

Who makes the best quality stands for their aquariums? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 04:37 PM PDT I see that many companies make great aquariums for reefs, but when it comes to stands it looks like the quality and variety just aren't there. I want to buy an aquarium and stand combo only if the stand is quality. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Oct 2021 07:32 PM PDT Edit: TANK IS CYCLED… I've heard so many opinions from "you can take two clowns and a goby in the 13.5" to "nothing more than a single fish". Figured I'd ask you all here to get a straight answer to my own situation. I want to stock soft corals and ideally 2 ocellaris and a goby with clean up shrimp/crab/snail. How would I go about these phases. What to add first between coral fish and clean up crew, then how/when to add the rest. Thank you all for your help! Love the community here [link] [comments]

Easiest SPS corals in a mixed reef? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 10:56 PM PDT Was just wondering what the absolute easiest and hardiest SPS corals are for an SPS beginner. Specifically ones that will do well in a mixed reef that has LPS and Softies. Looks don't matter too much, as I am mostly simply interested in running a true mixed reef and having all 3. Currently nitrates run at a steady 15 ppm. Little "dirtier" but very consistent, as I don't ever have any big drops or spikes. Everything has been thriving including my Torch which is probably the least hardy of my LPSs so I figure I should be able to handle dipping my feet into some easy SPSs. [link] [comments]
