- Pls help. I have tried everything to get rid of this diatom bloom. I’m running RODI water and all parameters are in check. Tank has been tuning for 4 1/2 months now.
- Someone requested shots of my rock flowers. These are super hard to shoot, blue and greens don’t show up at all.
- some clown host anemones, mine host caulerpa
- Anyone in the North Georgia area looking for a friendly saltwater stingray? If so, come check out Raymond at Premier Aquatics!
- Torches: With all the hype and photos I’d seen, I thought the arms would be MUCH BIGGER, like the size of anemone arms. Maybe it is just that all the photos I’ve seen are super close-ups? Or do they just vary that much?
- 6 month update, mixed reef AIO. 2 clowns, a spotted and mandarin goby, 2 peppermint shrimp and some snails.
- A lot of jellyfish in my tank at the moment. Are they harmful?
- How do you mix for water change?
- 1 week post tank swap
- sponges.....
- 6G cube softie tank
- Is this a Goni?
- What is your absolute favorite coral?
- Haven't added anything for months and I spotted this guy this morning, amazing!
- HELP! what are these things on my clownfishs tail? it’s been on since i got him (4 days ago). is it safe to add another clownfish??
- Black “wound” on stem of Paly?? It seems like a literal open gash. Infected or was something nibbling on it?? Rest of colony is unaffected.
- Little mangroves will be getting their own home soon. Anyone else keep these awesome trees?
- this sponge started growing in my kids tank. what's it called and what should we know about it
- My first reef tank, how's it looking? Any advice welcome
- My first torch!
- What is this thing? its like a mini starfish. Does anybody know the actual name?

How do you mix for water change? Posted: 11 Oct 2021 08:15 PM PDT I've done a ton of research over the last month and I'm ready to bite the bullet and buy all of my equipment. The only thing I don't have my head wrapped around is mixing the salt for water changes. Do you guys mix and heat in a separate container for a certain amount of time before it can go in the tank? Is it necessary to let mixed salt water "mature"? Obviously I don't need to for the initial cycle and for any water changes before adding life. I'm getting a fluval evo 13.5. So a 5 gallon bucket would be plenty for this. Should I buy an extra heater and pump/powerhead for mixing? [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Oct 2021 09:49 PM PDT So I posted a pic of a sponge that took off organically in my kids tank. In the last month or so and his tank has in a word started to "tank". All his parameters are on point. He does his water changes dutifully. I had read that some sponges put out toxins to kill off competition. Any one have the skinny on sponges or a decent resource to read up on them? [link] [comments]

What is your absolute favorite coral? Posted: 12 Oct 2021 01:08 AM PDT I'm talking overall species, not color morph, but feel free to include that as well. For me it's the Torch. If I could only have one single type of coral then I would just do a gigantic Torch garden in my tank. The colors, movement, extension, etc. are all perfect and Torches are the "Nike" of corals in my mind when I think of corals as a whole lol. Favorite color morph is prolly New York Knicks, but there's too many to name. I love em all. To get a bit more specific; Favorite Softie: Toadstool Leather Favorite LPS: Torch Favorite SPS: Acropora How about you? [link] [comments]
