Where and when to take bioactive mud for closed terrarium? Posted: 12 Oct 2021 10:16 AM PDT I'd like to start a closed water ecosystem in a jar and I'd like to add some mud from the wild to get bacteria, eggs, algae, worms etc. I am not sure where it is best to take it: I could go to a river, stream, lake, pond or puddle. My guess is that ponds and streams are the best options I am also not sure if there is a best season for taking the mud. In spring and summer there should be more active life, but spores and egges may be buried in the mud during the cold seasons any thoughts or clues? [link] [comments] |
