- I recently had a filter burn out on me and my fish tank got really dirty. I just set up the new filter after getting a faulty one but one of my goldfish isn’t moving… he seems like he’s trying to breathe when I hold his head up for oxygen tho. And his eyes still look alive. Is there still a chance??
- Hi can anyone help, scales seems to be turning brown/black for just this goldfish. I had just tested my water parameters and no ammonia no nitrites . nitrates at about 20ppm. anyone knows why??

| Is my ranchu a bully and should I worry about it Posted: 18 Oct 2021 09:33 PM PDT Recently I bought a new oranda goldfish for my ranchu but I've noticed my ranchu is aggressively pushing the oranda to a corner. The oranda is half the size of a ranchu so maybe that's the problem? I know their not mating since their both males and haven't develop tubercles. When feeding he's (ranchu) also aggressively stealing the food from him (oranda). I don't know if this is a serious problem or maybe they aren't comfortable in their aquarium. Also water levels are good and the tank is around like 60 litre aquarium tank. If you have any idea what is the cause of this please tell me, Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Anchor Worm question/concerns… Posted: 18 Oct 2021 04:01 AM PDT I picked up a couple small(2") Orandas yesterday from a local pet store. I didn't notice until I got home and had them transitioned to my tank, but one had what appeared to be an anchor worm near it's dorsal fin. After a quick google and careful consideration I opted to manually remove it with tweezers. It pulled out fairly easy and the fish seems to not know anything happened. The fish is now just hanging out acting 100% normal. My question. These are the only fish in a new tank, that's been set up running for a week with my Fluval 307 I had on my previous tank. Being that the infected fish was only in the tank for an hour, and none of the store water was retained, what are the chances my whole tank is infected? [link] [comments]  |
