Will axolotls nip for territory? Posted: 14 Oct 2021 05:16 AM PDT So I have these two sub adult axies. Many may remember them from the gay axie post….lol…..where they were trying to mate with one another. Ok so we established that was mating but the Lucy does constantly nip at the melanoid, I always assumed it was because they still weren't mature but they clearly are sexually mature. Is this how axoltols display aggression? Just constantly nipping whenever possible? The melanoids gills are half the size as the Lucy because he is constantly being bullied. Going to be moving them into a 90 gallon so they will have more space, thing is I already have an axie in that tank and I don't want to increase or make the fighting worse. Could the Lucy just be an asshole? Anyways to fix this? [link] [comments] | ||
