• Just got a 50 gallon tank from Marketplace, my weird dream fish has finally been acquired
• Not sure if this was posted already
• My mystery snail Sun Sun and Ramshorn snail Gary unfortunately eating a dead shrimp…. But I thought it was a good picture regardless.
• My heater and filter were off for 4 days. Will my fish survive?
• These were plain pale gold when we got them. What does the striping mean? And am I correct they are gourami? Left hand one is a lot smaller than right hand one. Any help appreciated
• Finally managed to get some more stripey bois for my tank! One of them is extra small and extra cute
• So cool to watch my first batch of black rams grow... even though none of them is actually black. Parents in pic 3

My heater and filter were off for 4 days. Will my fish survive? Posted: 14 Oct 2021 08:05 AM PDT 60 gal planted tank. Angelfish, Mollies, and Cherry Barbs. Few Nerites. Did a water change on Sunday, so unplugged filter and heater while doing so. Kept air stone plugged in. Today (Thursday) just realized the heater and filter never got plugged back in. With all the noise from the air pump and my other tank in the same room, I didn't notice. Normally the tank is kept at 79/80. Read 70 when I plugged it back in, we're up to 72 now about 10 mins later. Is my beneficial bacterial colony pretty much dead now on the filter media? I have another tank I can pull a filter from. They all seem to be behaving as normal, but I'm worried I may have just endangered my fish.
