Will cyclinder filter beads that get into the pond harm my fish?

Moved into a great new home with a wonderful koi pond. It's so nice that I'm trying to learn it, but I am 100% a novice.

There's a large Xtreme filter filled with bio balls, but before that it had these small cylinder beads. They weren't as good, so the owner replaced them with the bio balls.

Anyway, been here for a few months, and backwash/rinse the filter roughly twice a week. Today I followed the same exact process as usual and out of the release tube that rinse water comes out of also came the cylinder beads. Random, but no big deal. Go back into filter mode and low and behold some of more of the cylinder filter beads came with the water that fills my basin before entering the waterfall and then the pond.

Some got through to the pond, but I used a skimmer and pulled a bunch of it out and stopped it for the time being. My thought process is there can only be a finite number of these old cylinder beads knocked loose/remaining in the filter. Maybe somehow in that backwash and rinse, a pocket of them stuck somewhere in the filter got loose into the outflow valve.

Thinking I run it more tomorrow while trying to remove any remaining beads that come through...has to stop at some point. My concern is if I miss a bunch it, it goes into the pond. Also hoping no mechanics will be impacted by this. Is this an okay plan? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
