My bf and I are attempting to breed some amano shrimp. Here’s our little set up - hatching tank, algae culture, & breeding tank. Wish us luck and any advice would be awesome! :) momma’s in the front on the right.

Do you guys ever just have unexplainable shrimp deaths?

Posted: 12 Jun 2021 05:00 PM PDT

So I just checked my tank and saw some cherry shrimps eating their fallen brother. I checked my A/N/N and they come out to a 0/0/0. This is a seasoned tank too, having been running since August 2020. It just has a whole lot of plants in it. This death came just a few days after adding in a mystery and nerite snail though, but it's not like the snails are attacking them.

Finally getting babies! Had a few pregnant shrimp so the first one is a lot bigger, I’ve counted 6 so far. P.S. - Spot the hidden shrimp in the last pic.

Posted: 12 Jun 2021 07:41 PM PDT

I was re-watching Foo the Flowerhorn's videos and thought wow i wanna feed banana to my shrimp too! Has anyone ever done this? Would i need to do a water change after? Or should i just not do it at all?

The amount of erratic debating I've been reading on the internet is absurd. Each side always has a logical explanation as to if "Copper Sulfate" can kill your Neocaridinas, Caridinas. I've bought many shrimp food brands. Some have it, some don't. Your thoughts?
