Ok so can I ask what might be a really dumb question...
Is my Shrimp just liking foliage ,or do I need to worry? ( note the greenery under him/her). It seems healthy.
Shrimp soon in the 9g. 2nd tank. I really like the vibe it gives to the bedroom!

So I've set up a 2 gallon tank with a sponge filter and then added some beneficial bacteria and let it sit for about 4 days doing a water change in the middle of that time. I then drained the water to plant about 6 plants and added 2 snails. I had to leave town for 6 days so added some more beneficial bacteria and left it to set. Outside of checking for pH and nitrates how do I actually know it's cycled and ready for shrimp? Also the water temp is at 70 with no heater.
