- Metallic fushbone
- Why do they do this to themselves
- I am immensely proud of my new shrimp overlords
- Was meant to be a betta tank but I’ve grown too attached to the shrimplets
- Cleaned up my 1 gallon cherry shrimp tank today, had some elodea floating at the top that ended up tangled in a glob of long stringy green algae, so I decided to get some rotala to put in there instead, I like the look of it much better. I also put one amano shrimp in there to help with the algae.
- An Overdue Update in Amano Shrimp Breeding
- If I wasn't so worried about muddying my shrimp lines, I absolutely would love to keep these cute little brown babies. I don't have the heart to cull shrimp, so they'll probably either join one of my bettas (when they're big enough) or go to someone that doesn't mind having lil mutt kids :).
- Blue rili shrimplets :)
- Baby bonanza!
- This picture makes it look like my shrimp are having a family reunion
- Wish me luck for the next 4 hours catching hundreds of baby shrimp before I treat for snails
- Whoaaaaaaa
- Blue skrimps of mine
- Flora molted and I’m so happy she’s comfy
- ma’am please sit down while you’re eating...
- Mama shrimp cleaning her eggs upsidedown
- What’s up with my one blue dream that has an orange line on its head? Also has a few spots along its back and on its tail that are harder to see
- Need Advice on raising KH / cycling
- I cleaned my canister filter and I found many shrimps even one with eggs
- Is this an air bubble stuck in my shrimp? If so what do I do?
- I'm literally crying I just bought 2 ghost shrimp yesterday and one is already dead. I thought my tank levels were okay here is 2 tests I did like 5 minutes ago. Is this okay should I fix something. I have ph up and down, and I live in the country on well water so my water is hard. Help please.

| Need Advice on raising KH / cycling Posted: 02 Jun 2021 02:11 AM PDT So I am currently cycling my new shrimp tank. (Neocaradina) Water parameters after 3 weeks are as follows: (ppm) Ammonia - 2 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate - 0 GH - 5 KH - 1 PH - 6 Every time I do a water change the PH always drops a day or two later. Water I put in is around 7.2 PH. I'm also thinking that the acidity of the water is preventing the tank cycling. I have read online that putting baking soda is a good option. Just don't know how much I need to add and how long that will buffer the water for. It is a 20L tank (5.2 gallons) Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated. Thank you :) [link] [comments] | ||
