Weekly Quick Asks Thread - June 20, 2021 Posted: 20 Jun 2021 02:00 AM PDT Here is the place to post questions about pest ID, coral/fish ID, your cycle, or any other questions that generally wouldn't start up a conversation. If you have an interesting or unique question please create a new thread so everyone can discuss it in length! These are some great resources for ID's of pests/algae. [link] [comments]

Lighting for a uniquely shaped tank Posted: 20 Jun 2021 04:58 PM PDT Hi all! I'm in the process of swapping over my 55gal "cube" tank from fresh to salt! The tank is roughly 2 foot by 2 foot by 2.5, I've had a rough time finding lighting for it so I thought I'd ask here for some advice! Since it's not a very wide tank I figure I'll only need one light, I've mainly been looking at the AI Primes as they seem like a really good bang for the buck. However recently I'm looking at the Kessil A80, both seem to be marketed for nano tanks, so I'm not sure if they'll be able to make it all the way down to the bottom. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated! [link] [comments]
Best tool for bubble algae removal? Posted: 20 Jun 2021 08:32 PM PDT Let's assume for a moment that my emerald crab got lazy and decided that eating fish food is way easier than eating algae. That means I now have to clean the bubbles he used to get. What's the best tool for the job if I want to do it in tank? Tweezers? A knife? A toothbrush? [link] [comments]
