Planted Aquarium - |
- After years of being in the fish hobby I did my first planted tank and now I’m officially obsessed
- Anyone else have a kitchen tank? Here's my fry and shrimp tank! Currently stocking some endlers, yellow, orange, red cherry and red rili shrimp
- After a 4 month dry start, finally filled it up. Third time attempting a Monte Carlo carpet.
- Just finished my future pea puffer tank!
- Gave my crayfish, Clawford, an upgrade :)
- I decided my to take out all of my bolbitis and replace it with trident fern. My tank was getting out of control with growth and I needed a change. I also did a major trim on my Rotala. It's not the prettiest right now, but hopefully once the trident fern grows in we'll be back in business.
- Over planted and over grown
- Just added a Christmas moss tree to my Axolotl low tech tank...
- My Swordtail are best friends already..
- help recommend background plant for the back left corner
- Tank Buddies
- Love the growth in these tanks!
- Sneaky little alien hybrid fry :)
- My first planted tank. No CO2. One beta, a few shrimp, 4 adult snails, and 5 babies! Suggestions on additions?
- 5 weeks in ! The reds are finally starting to catch up. Although i can already see the first green algae..
- New 10gal community tank, almost done cycling. Already have a few baby shrimp and nitrites in there. Planning to add 2 gobies and moving our 12 chili rasboras.
- My first post here, but I just finished a 10 gal hardscape. I plan to plant Java ferns, Anubias plants, duckweed, and a bit of dwarf sag on the left side with thicker substrate. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
- Bloated White Cloud Mountain minnow. I’ve tried fasting for a couple days, but it has remained like this for a while. What should I do? I’ve had my planted tank running smoothly since January of 2020 with white clouds, leopard danios, and some corys with no issues until just this one fish.
- Is it normal for black neon tetras to chase eachother?
- Can't wait to see it in a few months.
- Newbie here, does anyone knows what is this?
- Is it a bad idea to let snails/corys/shrimp eat a dead fish?
- Planet subwassertang

Is it a bad idea to let snails/corys/shrimp eat a dead fish? Posted: 19 Jun 2021 05:06 PM PDT One of my Ottos was sinking in the tank when I got up. A few hours later he's MIA so it's pretty safe to assume he's a goner. I can't find him ANYWHERE and would likely have to rescape most of my tank to get him out. I do have a few Corys, 6 cherry shrimp, and a bunch of variety snails. Would they eat the dead fish in a timely manner or am I better off trying to find it before it releases ammonia?
