Advice for a Dorm Room Jarrarium? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 09:33 PM PDT Hi everyone! When I go back on campus in the fall, I'd love to start a jarrarium on my window sill. The room would have one window that receives indirect sunlight, and I would most likely use a medium to small jar. What plants, potential critters, and set up would you all recommend? My ideal is to seal the jar and have a snail or two in there, but obviously if that isn't feasible for the health of the plants and snails then I'm open to other suggestions for content or not sealing it at all. The reason I would want it sealed and on the window is because that spot gets the most light but I don't want to knock it over into my bed, so if it's possible to grow mushrooms or some kind of plant that doesn't need very much sunlight I would put it in a different spot than the windowsill. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
