My Black Moor, Patches. Started out all black but he has started to change colors. His brother is still jet black. Both are still quite young, about quarter sized. Sorry for the crummy quality of the gif.

Help!

I'm having swimmers bladder issues with my 5+ year old fan tails. I put a heater in to rise their temps. Did a 3 day fast. Fed peas, water changes….I was told to try feeding wheat germ? Just yesterday my pleco got ahold of the bigger of my two fish and his fins got shredded and now he's no longer able to keep himself upright and he has was looks like a blood spot near the base of his tail. I currently have him in a harness I made out of tubes and fishing string to keep him upright to hopefully keep him comfortable. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Need advice

Posted: 23 Jun 2021 11:25 PM PDT

Hello, I don't actually own a goldfish, however I am at my nanas house currently and have noticed her goldfish is sick. From what I have found online it seems to be swim bladder issues. I know it can be hard to identify the cause so I was thinking of bringing the fish inside. My nana has it living in a very large pot outside, I have inspected the tank and it is filthy at the bottom so I assume the water quality isn't great. We are also in winter and the water is quite cold, in addition he is an older fish from what I have been told and he eats primarily fish flakes which he must get at the top of the water. So basically there is a lot of things here that could of caused it if my research is correct.
My question is would it be beneficial for the fishn if I were to transfer him into a container than can be kept inside for monitoring? I imagine the transfer would be stressful and he would have to be in a container as I'm unable to get a proper tank today.
What is the best thing to do? Am I better to leave him or bring him in? I would appreicate some advice, thank you.

I have a chance to upgrade Finley and friends to a 65-70 gallon tank and was curious what filters, tanks, brands, and stands yall use and would reccommend.
