Look who I saw out last night. S/he has its claws back. S/he seems to be doing just fine for how little I've seen it. Once I get to know its personality a lil more I'll pick a name for it. Posted: 21 Jun 2021 10:04 AM PDT |

I'm thinking of naming it jittz cuz from what I've seen it moves in little burst of energy. I'm not completely sure about the name yet. Posted: 21 Jun 2021 10:10 AM PDT |
Caught my first 2 baby crayfish!! Posted: 21 Jun 2021 01:45 AM PDT | We went hiking yesterday, and on the hike toward the end, there was this amazing looking massive spring trinkling down from a waterhole, perfectly circular and it drained into a stream. I thought this be the best place to find some crawdads. I busted out my trusty net as I came for this purpose lol. It took some work and lifting up rocks, but these suckers are FAST as all hell, but I ended up catching 6, but the others were so tiny I let them go lol and I ignored the adult ones. These went in a pre-cycled 10 gallon with an inch to half inch of sand, plenty of habitat stuff, a few ghost shrimp and large mystery snail and they are already munching on Fluval "bug bites" aquatic carnivore food. Am I doing everything right so far? And I attached a pic here, anyone have a clue what possible species? Found in central Kentucky. Heres another link if the reddit pic dont load: https://imgur.com/XXSWusC https://preview.redd.it/sbnmzrpo0l671.jpg?width=4160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b75602b6868227c34e994e8de13da3672a8672c submitted by /u/Pactolus [link] [comments] | |
The band Matmos actually sampled "amplified crayfish nerve" in their track "Verber: amplified synapse". Posted: 21 Jun 2021 06:27 AM PDT |
