I killed Sandy Claws.

Sandy was fine yesterday, her normal feisty self! She was walking around this morning, and was even on top of her rock for awhile. I just checked on her, and she's stiff and just lying at the bottom. What would make her die so quickly and with no symptoms??

Her water is fine, and I haven't fed her anything different. I'm heartbroken. I'm terrified to replace her and kill another one.

I have a couple of Crayfishes living in a small tank but I really wanted to buy bigger tanks for them, what would be a good size for one crayfish each?

Crayfish molted last night, not sure what to do now

Posted: 02 Jun 2021 03:30 AM PDT

I got two crayfish a few weeks ago so im pretty new to caring for them. The big one ate the little one last week. I had noticed the big one getting bigger so i figured it would molt soon. I woke up this morning and looked in the tank and saw his shell in the corner of the tank. He's moving around, eating his food, so I think he's healthy.

I dont know what to do with his old shell now? Will it dissolve? Will he eat it? I guess since he molted so early into having him it means he's doing ok. People on here have told me he's a white river cray if that helps.
