Would a mirror back on a tank stress an axolotl out Posted: 17 Jun 2021 11:07 AM PDT Title. Would he try to fight himself or something? I want to mirror the back to make my tank look even bigger [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 17 Jun 2021 11:01 AM PDT Hi everyone! I'm getting an axolotl soon so I've been doing research and everything, and I just wanted to ask for clarification on a few things. I was planning on feeding brine shrimp while it's still growing (I'll be getting still as a juvenile) and then pellets/worms when it's an adult. My questions are - how exactly do you feed the brine shrimp? Do you just put them in the tank and let them float about for the axolotl to find, or do you need to put them right in front of the axolotl and make sure it finds them straight away? And - how big should the worms be? I've seen suggestions of earthworms and black worms to be the main staple, and then advice to cut them up into smaller pieces if they're too big. With frogs I was given the advice of roughly the size of the space between their eyes, is that the same for axolotls? And since the point of the worms is that they're live, wouldn't cutting them up make them kind of pointless in some regards? Also - do the worms feel pain? I really would hate to hurt them at all. TIA 😊😊😊 [link] [comments] |
