New mystery snail owner. Not sure if this is normal.

Sorry if I used the wrong flair for this, but I am looking for some advice on my gold mystery snail.

The little dude has basically only moved around one day almost 3 weeks ago now. He spends most of his time just barely coming out of his shell and seems to be producing a large amount of slime.

He seems to be alive as he will retreat into the shell when teased. Dosen't have a smell either.

I also have a black mystery snail that is doing good. Exploring the tank and climbing the glass.

The tank itself is around 76 degrees and the water perimeters are stable.

Am I just worrying for nothing?

I woke up to a small clutch this morning. All that snailing these two finally created sweet babies (hopefully❤️)

I have a three gallon tank with a gold mystery snail and that’s it. Is this filter safe for snails? Will they get stuck?

Can someone please help me identify this little hitchhiker? Many said it’s a pretty pond snail, but others are sure it’s an apple snail - reddit’s verdict?

Can mystery snails stay stuck to things if they’re dead?

I have a mystery that hasn't moved in a day or two. The other one is very active but the one not moving is stuck to a decoration. I know this bc i tried to give a light nudge to see what was happening. Any advice

Is this a baby snail? If so what kind?

Should I bump him back in the tank if he gets any further out of water?

How many mystery snails could I have in a 20 gallon that wouldn’t be a large bio load along with a group of schooling fish and shrimp?

Just wondering if what I have is an adequate diet for my snail?

Posted: 01 Jun 2021 11:02 AM PDT

So far I have cuttlebone which I know they don't really eat but it adds calcium to the water, pleco sinking algae wafers, and reptomin baby floating pellets with calcium (that I'm gonna soak and let sink first because my snail is still so young it doesn't know how to get food from up high even out of a food dish).

I have some samples coming from happy snail tales but that isn't going to be a regular thing because they're pretty expensive, and obviously he'll occasionally get some blanched veggies, but it's going to mostly be what I mentioned above, cuttlebone, algae wafers, and reptomin baby floating pellets with calcium. I feel like that's a pretty solid mixture of a diet and also would provide adequate calcium.
