Best snail for a Walstad tank and why? Posted: 18 Jun 2021 05:07 AM PDT I am looking to add a snail or a few to my 12L Walstad bowl. What is the best option to go for? My substrate is gravel. Also, is there any particular requirements for them to hide etc? I currently have an assortment of back middle and front plants and a stone in the middle but not much shelter. What is some good shelter to add if needed? [link] [comments]

Can mystery snails live in a koi pond? Posted: 17 Jun 2021 11:50 AM PDT Can mystery snails in a northeast koi pond? Im finishing up a new pond in the backyard that's deep enough for my fish to over winter - I live in Massachusetts btw. Because of this, I'm taking down my 90 gallon tank that holds a few goldfish so that they can enjoy their new pond for the rest of their lives. In the tank I also have 4 golden mystery snails, that I've grown to love. My question is: would the snails be ok/over winter if I put them in koi pond? It's a lil over 3 feet deep, and I'm planning on throwing a de-icer in there/ running an air stone in the winter. Does anyone in the sub have any experience or advice with mystery snails in a garden pond where it gets cold in the winters? [link] [comments]
