LAVA ROCKS as MECHANICAL filter ? people use lava rock as bio media in small-sized pebbles but i want to use it as mechanical filter in in my diy filter for my lil pond. The structure ive shown is a rough sketch. So is this a good idea ? Or should i use another mechanical media? If so then what ?
