- First ever terrarium/Jarraruim it’s a native build, has some spring tails , isopods and earth worms (earth worms might of died) I made it 3 days ago and I’m wondering if anyone has some tips or tricks to keep this ecosystem going or how to improve all the creatures life.
- (photos taken with microscope) I have insect eggs and larvae in my Jarrarium. Are they harmful? Should I remove them from my jar? I have lots of copepods in my jar and I do not want them harmed.

Posted: 23 Apr 2021 10:37 AM PDT Hey all - I'm hoping to make some snail jars, and was wondering if anyone has used cryptocoryne lucens before? Just hoping to use what I have available, and currently have a large bundle in need of splitting! Hoping 1-2 stems could survive and sustain a ramshorn snail or two in a liter+ jar. Ideally minimal maintenance as I'm giving them away as gifts, hoping for mostly closed with maybe irregular feedings or water changes. [link] [comments]
How can I stop miss from floating to the top? Posted: 23 Apr 2021 12:09 AM PDT I made my own jar a few weeks back with substrate consisting of roughly equal parts mud and aquarium pebbles in separate layers. The pearlgrass is happily staying fixed, but two of the aquatic mosses I got keep coming unfixed and rise to the top - I'm worried I'm damaging them too much by repeatedly pushing them into the substrate. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
