Oh wow, I ripped out all my pearlweed because it was driving me nuts trimming it constantly, so I figured I'd convert the tank to blackwater while I was at it. I have never seen him just let himself relax and billow this much. Hoping it'll help with his fin recovery!
My new babies, found them chasing each other in circles in THE SAME CUP at petco. I don't know how they ended up together but now they each have their own 6.8 gallon tank to grow into. Any name suggestions?

My Dumbo Betta looking great (got him at an online store so didn't get to pick him) very happy with my little buddy
So, I got this as a gift. Her name is Koiko :D and perhaps the largest female I have ever seen in my life to the point I thought it was a male betta at first.
Pollock right out of the bag after 5 days of shipping vs. day 3 in the tank�� I’m obsessed.
Mr. Chips was an absolute champion and survived his first power outage today :)

Quick synopsis of caresheet:

Minimum tank size is 5 gallons (about 20 liters) for a regular sized betta, and 10 gallons (about 40 liters) for a king/giant betta
Bettas need an adjustable heater and a thermometer to ensure water temperature stays between 78-82°F or about 26-28°C
Bettas need a cycled tank- this requires a filter
Bettas need silk or live plants and hidey holes with no sharp edges.
Bettas have a special organ, the labyrinth organ, allowing them to breathe air. They require constant access to air at the top of the tank.
Bettas will jump- it is best to have a tank with a lid
