Tank stocking question

What fish stocking would you recommend for a 3ft tank 227ltr tank. A mandarin is certainly on my list! TIA 🙂

ID pls. Just picked up a cheap frag from the local lfs (toadstool I believe) and noticed now that it’s closed up it has strings of maybe chaeto growing through it? Is that chaeto?

Does it look like these are stretching for light? Don’t mind water clarity and there closed, just feed reef roids.
