Can anyone recommend a good substrate for plants? Posted: 23 Mar 2021 04:30 PM PDT I just got a 15 gallon fluval flex tank, and I want to do a decent amount of plants but I've always had a hard time working with planting media and often end up just with gravel. Can anyone give me some suggestions or resources for a good, easy to work with plant media? [link] [comments]
Tank on a whim: Minimalist needs for 3gal? Posted: 23 Mar 2021 10:52 AM PDT Grabbed a Aqueon Frameless 3 (aka a 3 gallon rimless cube). Using plants only: What all hardware would I need (filter, etc) for a low-tech setup? Meaning, can I run without a filter and heater? I know I'll need a light of course. Edit to add: Going to try a dry start, dirt substrate, largely just using clippings from my other tank to set it up. [link] [comments]
