Here’s a macro video of the baby I caught last week! It’s about 1cm long, presumed Procambarus gracilis.

Where To Catch Crayfish In Long Island, NY?

Posted: 16 Mar 2021 06:19 PM PDT

I Used To Go To A Pond Nearby In Nassau County And Would Catch Beautiful Orange, Brown, And Red Crayfish As A Kid. Not Sure If They Were Native Or Not But Years Later They All Disappeared, Then Found Another Pond Nearby With Them And Years Later Same Thing. If Anyone Knows Any Spots I Appreciate It A Lot. Want Them For My New Crayfish Pond In My Yard. No Eating Please So Don't Direct Me To Chinatown... Thanks, Logan

Spider or Crayfish?!?!

My crayfish Caligula escaped an hour ago and was out for 30 minutes. He's not moving apart from his back gills. Should I be worried or is he just in shock?

This is my second time with a crayfish but the first time I've had an escape. I only got him two days ago and he's been perfectly fine up until his escape. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Edit: back legs, not gills
