It might not be as nice as my original rendition of my teapot tank, but I'm still really enjoying it. I think Pebbles does too.

I swear this is the same fish. This is Vincent the day I got him compared to him now two weeks later.

Mods please feel free to remove if not the right spot to post this. I just thought people here would understand instead of making me feel stupid about "just a fish" or whatever.

I'm going through a really painful divorce right now. My husband is older than me, and we got together when I was quite young. For the last several years, he has made it a habit to berate me, yell at me, call me names, and insult me. All in all, this has led to my self-esteem being completely in the gutter.

I finally asked for a divorce, and even though I know it's the right thing to do, I still feel really hopeless. I allowed my self-respect to be destroyed, time to be wasted, and dreams to be at least partially sacrificed, and for what? For nothing. For worse than nothing. I feel like a failure on top of everything else.

Sometimes I have honestly been feeling suicidal, but then I think, "Who would take care of my fish, snails, and shrimps? No one I know would take care of them like I do." When my betta swims over every morning to greet me for her breakfast, it makes me feel like something at least needs me. Like I have a reason to stay.

I have similar feelings about my kitty, but I think more people understand that. I feel really stupid trying to say how much my fish means to me though. I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say. I just thought you guys might understand that part.

I'm just really glad I got this little fish a few months ago. I didn't know how smart these fish were or how much she would end up meaning to me at the time. But I'm glad she's here.
