Posted: 10 Mar 2021 07:05 AM PST I bought a chiller that will be here next week. I purchased the materials I need for the set up. However, I need help with finding something to go on the output tube that will keep the flow from being too much for the lotl. My tubing is 1/2 inch and I do not have a canister filter which is why the outflow will be going back directly into the tank. If you have any product suggestions or ideas I would love to hear them. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Mar 2021 06:35 AM PST Hi guys! I hope you aren't tired of seeing my continuous posts. I hope I'm not breaking any rules, either. Please someone let me know if I'm being a pain, I'm just so eager and feel you guys are the only ones that understand! I just wanted to give everyone an update. I have recently started my cycle process, purchased all the things everyone recommended for me ans have dosed my tank with ammonia. It stayed at 2ppm for about two days, but then dipped to 1ppm on the third day. No nitrites yet. I added a few more drops of my ammonia liquid in order to keep up the consistent 2ppm requirement, hopefully that was a wise choice. If my ammonia gets too high, do I start over? Water cycle it out? Just wait until it drops? Otherwise, I'm very excited you guys! This week, I'm going to start introducing things like plants and decor for my baby when the time comes. What does your axolotl look like? I'm still trying to decide what type to get for myself. And if any of you have pictures of your tank, I'd love to see that, too! I'm so interested in viewing everyone's babies and tanks, makes me all the more eager! TLDR; if ammonia gets too high, what do we do next in the cycle? requesting pictures of your babies and their tanks! and oh! what do you guys feed your babies and how often? I see different things for everyone and want to get insight everywhere. SUPER excited. thanks new friends :) [link] [comments]
