Are there any fish which wont eat baby snails?

I have a tank with baby rabbit snails in which I don't want to get eaten? Is it possible to add any type of fish in there without the baby rabbit snails being eaten?

Can anyone help me identify this little hitchhiker?

We found 2 of 3 of these in my son's fish tank after the last water change. I'm guessing the eggs came in on some water lettuce we bought maybe 3-4 weeks ago

Anyone have any ideas if my Nerite is dead?

Posted: 02 Mar 2021 03:58 PM PST

Hi all, Just wanted to show a few photos of my Nerite. I smelled him today and I mean he wasn't great but he wasn't bad. He's not really sticking to anything and hasn't moved much in about 2.5 days. I had to move him onto that calcium cuttlebone because I thought it might help w his shell cracking, (got him that way)

Anyone have any ideas? Should I just let him sit for a couple days and see what happens?

Nerites and nitrates - How much is too much?

Posted: 02 Mar 2021 07:27 PM PST

I have a very large, heavily planted axolotl setup. I would like to get some nerites to help clean up the leftover plant debris that is collecting underneath the driftwood and plants. My two axolotls HATE putting even tough-skinned worms in their mouths and will spit them out and refuse food until I find a soft enough meal for them to eat. I even have to chop their meals up small in order to get them to eat. For that reason, I believe that nerites would be completely safe from being swallowed.

I've been doing a bit of research on proper care though to make sure that my tank is compatible for them and I came across some info saying that they don't like high nitrates. Because of the plant-load in my tank, my nitrates hover around 10-20 PPM. I'm not sure if I could ever get it to go lower than that. Would those levels kill my nerites?

Strange Mystery snail interaction

Posted: 02 Mar 2021 11:12 AM PST

I bought two mystery snails about a month ago for a science fair project. the other day I observed a strange interaction between them, I didn't think to get a picture or video. My Ivory snail sat in its (her?) shell while the black snail (male?) seemed to rock her back and forth. I considered the possibility that they were mating, but I'm still not sure. Do you guys have any ideas?
