Wow there really is a sub for everything! I'm so glad I found this community and thank you all in advance for what I assume will be a very long relationship. :)

I just bought a house with a koi pond, the owners can't take the koi with them to their new house so they'll be staying.

I've never owned koi fish before or even had a house with a pond requiring any sort of maintenance.

There will be a 2-5 week period where the house will be vacant before we move in. The owners said they feed the koi everyday. Is it important to keep them on their morning feeding schedule? Will they be ok if we feed them every 2 days or 3 days even?

I don't want them to starve and I don't want to do any damage to them. I just want to know what my options are since the house is about an hour away and my husband and I both work and our toddler goes to daycare.
