| Bought a house that came with two koi in a pond any advice. Posted: 16 Mar 2021 12:44 PM PDT https://imgur.com/gallery/YE8wgEw So yes they came with the house but no instructions. There are two koi the white one you can see is probably 12in long although I haven't got it out to look, there are also 3 big goldfish and a bunch of tiny ones(babies I don't know) Do you think it is a bit small for two koi? Any advice or places to get advice on keeping the the fish would be great. How often should I feed them there are so many different ideas online. Thank you! [link] [comments]  |
| Just got a baby koi and I love him so much (just want to talk about my babies :) ) Posted: 16 Mar 2021 02:31 PM PDT No help or anything needed. Just really wanted to express how adorable this fishy is. He looks like your stereotypical koi with white, black, and an orange head. I put him in a tank with my other koi who are a bit bigger. I currently have them in a 30 gallon to grow a bit during the cold weather (they're still babies) but by the end of summer I plan to have them in a big indoor pond/tank around 300 gallons. No need to panic at the sound of the word "tank" as I'm fully aware of how big they will get :)) My slightly bigger koi's took so nicely to the new baby and have been following him around. I assume it's typical for any koi to do this but I still find it so cute. It's like the big ones adopted the baby. Overall I'm just happy. I rescued him for a pet store that sadly kills fish when they over populate the tanks so I plan to give all my babies a huge home and plenty of food and pond space. I've always been a dog person but ever since I got these koi fish I have been so in love with them. I never would have guessed how friendly koi fish are and how different their personalities are. Edit- I plan to possibly post more later. I'm hoping to just share my other koi's pictures and maybe get some opinions on their color patterns. Thanks for reading. [link] [comments]  |
