- What is happening here? Worm orgy?
- This was a mother's day present that I made for my mom this year on mother's day and it has done really well I'm very happy with it ♥️ I found the jar at Goodwill It's a pretty badass Nescafé jar looks like it was made for coffee beans or maybe drinking but it has a lovely shape with a wide mouth.

- Jarrium #1 / Day 01
- Newest mini planted jungle jarrarium progression. I’ve not touched it in about 3 months... I think it’ll look pretty good once I clean it up a bit!
- Jarrium not made from nature?

| Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:11 AM PST I'm interested in making a jarrarium, I just wondered if I need special things? Like do I have to clean it, should I get the things from outside, does it need sunlight or no light, are there special plants for it? And if I make one with water in it, does it need a heater/filter? And what filter is the best for it? And if I want to put animals in it, (like aquatic snails) do I have to do extra things? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 31 Oct 2020 12:33 PM PDT I made my first jarrium today but it turned out a bit of a disaster. I wasn't happy with the level of substrate (sand on top of pond mud, topped with gravel) but there was too much so I stupidly tried scooping it out with my hand AFTER I'd added the water. The result is that I now have a jar of opaque, mud-coloured water that doesn't look like it will ever settle. I'll be dumping it all tomorrow and starting again. Which got me wondering if anyone has ever built one of these things with ingredients (substrate, gravel, plants and life) all bought from a store instead of taken from nature. My thinking is that the result would be a crystal clear example, but is it defeating the object? [link] [comments] |
