2 Bettas dead within 2 weeks

Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:33 AM PST

Just this morning I woke up to my beloved betta fish dead... last week I lost my other betta fish that I was keeping. They were both in separate 5 gallon tanks with filters, heaters (78 F), live plants, etc. They both had similar symptoms of developing stress stripes although I could not find anything that was causing the stress, gradually resting on the bottom of the tank for longer and longer and then in the morning I woke up and found them dead. They were both still eating pretty normally and I there water parameters stayed the same throughout (nitrate 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, Ammonia 0ppm, pH 7.6). Am I missing something? I changed nothing about there water changing or my routine with them yet they both died and I am wondering if I messed up somehow?
