First attempt at a jarrarium as a Xmas present for my neices. Any advice or tips if I could add any snails and maybe shrimp to the jar? Thanks

Choosing test kit

Posted: 17 Nov 2020 08:42 PM PST

I'm asking for aqua jarrarium supplies for Christmas. I'm trying to find what kinda testing supplies is needed. Someone suggested the API master test kit, but that seems a little overkill since I'm not housing fish & it will be maximum 1.5 gallons. I just need to be able to track the water's basic elements so I can prevent disasters, haha

What do you guys use???

This plant just wont stop growing, drinks up all the water so fast! Home to isopods, scuds, tubifex, a bladder snail and some very tiny fellas

I'm proud of myself for not getting the big one even though I wanted it. The glass was just too wavy.

Pond snails and calcium

Is it OK to give calcium tablets to pond snails? (Bladder snails). I dont think they like hard water, do they?
