| Will land moss survive in my aqua jarrium? Posted: 09 Nov 2020 03:09 AM PST I've done some digging on this and the general consensus seems to be yes, but with a number of 'buts'. The moss I'm considering adding was taken from the top of a drystone wall along my local river, so it's very much terra moss. If I'd taken from the edge of a babbling brook I wouldn't be so sceptical, but this was nowhere near water (apart from the rain). I can't be certain, but I'm pretty surethe moss I plan to use is Silky forklet moss (Dicranella heteromalla). Some kind of carpet moss, at least. [link] [comments] |
