| Posted: 09 Nov 2020 06:23 AM PST Hello all! I am new to the axolotl world and am looking to get my first one and I'm trying to be as prepared as possible. I have a 20 gallon long tank, lid, sand. What is the best way to keep the temperature of the water ideal? I know it needs to stay cool which we keep my home around 68 degrees through the fall, winter, and spring, but we do not have AC during the summer. Any thoughts? Also filter suggestions? I know it needs to be low flow, but I guess I am not sure what constitutes low flow for a 20 gallon tank. Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions/tips/info so that I can care for this sweet creature to the best of my ability! I've already learned so much just scrolling through here! | Posted: 08 Nov 2020 07:48 PM PST Hi everyone I'm upgrading from my 20 gallon, it's just too small for my monster axolotl and I don't feel good about not giving him as much space as I can. Just want the lil guy to be happy! Right now I have an aquaclear 20, but I'm not sure if that's strong enough for double the water volume it's dealing with now. I'm in the UK but I know most of you are from the US so used gallons to give you guys a better understanding of the tank size. So unfortunately no Petco or the like here! [link] [comments] | ||
