Thought I had killed one of my shrimp this morning. But no. It was just a freeze dried shrimp that was never blended. I fed the wrong bag of jello instead of the shrimp food I fed the crayfish food.

I boiled and soaked my cholla wood pieces but I don't want them all in my tank. What do I do with them now? Thanks!

I want only one of the bundle of three in my 5.5g. Can I let them dry out again or how do I preserve them for a different tank in the future? If they were dry I could put them in my crested geckos cage I guess, but I got them for the shrimp.

New to shrimping - Tank water changes?

Posted: 02 Oct 2020 12:09 AM PDT

So I've had a tank set up for a while & just added 10 red cherry shrimp. It's a 30L heavily planted tank with a heater & air stone - I wanted it to be a filter-free setup. My question is - how often do you suggest I do water changes? Atm I'm doing a 25% twice a week and 50% every other week (hope that makes sense hah). Thanks :)

These are the coolest little pets btw! I love watching them ride the floating plants & use the bubble stone to launch themselves across the tank. I think one of them is pregnant, but I'm sure I'll find out soon :) I also think one of them is a pumpkin shrimp? It hasn't gone red at all, unlike the others. Can post photos/vids if anyone's interested :)
