Found some fungus and black spots on my axie on his butt. Please help! This looks super bad and I’m worried... tested water and everything was good there so unsure what’s wrong :/
This isnt really an axolotl but its mainly based on one, meet axel
Update on my tank, I’m just waiting on a bunch more plants to come in and still quarantining some, can’t wait for this tank to be done (my axolotl sleeps in his cave all day so the light doesn’t bother him at all, the cave is completely dark). :)

My axolotls gills are suddenly white. I think it’s the oxygen in his hospital tank. So I put in a air stone. What do y’all think?

Daphnia eating axolotl or laying eggs on it ? Hey guys so , my axolotl seems to look very sick and skinny even though she eats good and I feed her 3-4 times a week. Now there's daphnia in my aquarium and I've never had this before but since I noticed it my axolotl looked like this. Are they eating her gills? I'm not sure if it's daphnia but they seem like really really small water flaes

I know that majority of this sub is axolotl owners and I've been looking at these little cuties for a while. I'm not going to get one but I was told that there wasn't a possibility to even get one because they're endangered. I don't live where they're illegal but still. Can you keep them as pets even if the species is endangered?

Typical axolotl egg laying behaviour? Water ammonia/nitrates/PH is good and the set up and filter has been the same. I've never seen her act like this. She is in the tank with another male but I didn't see any sperm packets floating around when I changed the water earlier.

Thank you all for your input, I do want what's best for her so if everyone thinks she needs more air I will definitely invest in a bubbler or air stone of some kind. It's so sad to see her like this, she hasn't calmed down all night.
