Posted: 17 Oct 2020 05:48 PM PDT I got a pair of young (~4") koi a little over 2 weeks ago, followed the pond shop's recommendation for water change and Hikari Ultimate conditioner treatment. The pond (~5k gallons) has always had a bit of a "shag carpet" algae layer on the bottom and they've been digging around in it eating I'm assuming the small worms that live in it. I've had the house and pond for ~1 year, was wanting to be sure I had the pond handled before putting fish in it. There's been a good number of mosquito fish in the pond, and they love the food. I'm brand new to Koi though. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
