So I know if water gets below around 50F feeding should be halted, but what about when the ambient temperature swings from 35 at night to 65+ during the day? Water temperature is going above and below the 50F mark during this time. Should they still be fed?

so I have a question for a koi pond

I want to build a koi pond of 1,000 gallons, I've looked around and seen that 3-4 koi's max for it until they get massive.. also for a pond filter is the SUN CPF-2500 any good? do I need to have floating plants for algae not to build up? how to handle the algae in hot areas.. please any help would be great
