Possible ID on this? Thought it was simply some GHA at first glance and then realized it has more of a blue tint to it and the tips are a different color, almost like a miniature Torch lol.

Indonesian Flagfin Angel?

My LFS sources most of their fish from East-ish Indonesia, they got a small adult Flagfin Angel (3") in a few days ago. These are one of my dream fish, and I'd love to get it. I watched it eat a lot brine shrimp out of the water column and attempt to eat 2mm NLS pellets (I am aware of the issues with this species relating to acclimation and diet).

It is in great physical shape, very fat and not sunken by the head, and no obvious blemishes besides a couple small rips in its anal fin. It does appear to have flukes, although I'm prepared to treat pretty much every disease in QT. It acted pretty normal but seems a little "Spaced out", maybe just because it's in one of those cubicle things.

My main concern about this fish is its source - it seems like most Indonesian ones are doomed from the get go due to Cyanide exposure, but is there any way to confirm exposure without actually buying the fish? It's $80, so really not something I wanna risk.

I wipe my tank down every morning and a few hours later it already has bio film. Do I need more CUC? Is this normal
