Swamp soup. It's a metal mixing bowl I started using for my tank clippings. Felt bad throwing out good plant so I just kept it in my sunroom. That was in March. All I do is add my clippings and top up with tank water. There are micro-organisms, ramshorn snails, and scuds in there. Quite intriguing.

Pair of 2 gallon jarrariums I started 9/7/20. Finally starting to clear up.

I don’t know what these are but they’re eating this worm. There’s hundreds of them!

Rescaped the jug and added a ton more plants this time. Last one lasted about 2 months without popping the cork. Rescape was required as the snails ate their lungs. More details in comments.

My new jarrarium already has baby shrimps! I used a 2-Gallon jar from Target. My dad drilled a hole in the glass lid. I added a light from Hiro Aquatics to stimulate plant growth. No filtration system and it’s looking good

Started these with identical substrate and tried to copy plant variety. Not sure how they ended up so different but things may change overtime.
