~1 year update on the ecosystem- 2nd and 3rd generation shrimp are healthy and thriving!

Starting this adventure for my 3 and 4 year olds. Mommy has big tanks. Little ladies get a jarrarium. Once cycled, it might home shrimps or snails from our other tanks. Not as natural as most, but a first try

I wish I could video in pro mode, see way more species. Closed aquatic ecosystem as of 23rd of July, and guys I think I have both an algae and oxygen problem...

Just found a new addition to the 1 gallon ecosphere. This stonefly larvae Must have stowed away in the soil as an egg when I first made this jar on 8/25/20

Looking for a misting bottle with a flexible hose attachment if they exist

Does anyone know of any kind of misting bottle that has a flexible hose attachment, so I can direct the mist, instead of spraying it everywhere in the enclosure? Something similar to this, but smaller... Maybe a 1 litre bottle.

[Question] Large nematode (and other smaller worms/leeches) at waterline

Hi,

I threw some sand, muck, river and pond water, rocks, etc in to a jar recently. I filled it to the waterline, so theres room for air. I added long grass, and other pond-floaty plants into it.

Theres still plenty of life in it, including little bug critters, long-skinny worms (maybe tubifex?), and what i think is a large nematode worm. I also see some smaller things I think are leeches.

Anyway, a lot of them are hanging out at the top. Not all, as I see some tubifex traversing the bottom. But a lot of them are. I am worried that it could be that the water is not oxygenated enough.

Maybe the grass and the other green floaty stuff isn't enough to oxygenate the water. Any ideas?

Here's a pic (you can see the nematode(?) at the top)....

Thanks!

Day 2: The Rejigged Jug. Details in comment

Figured I might have more luck here. It's water, sludge, and plants collected from a still/freshwater lake in SK, Canada. It's been going for about a month. I was wondering if anyone could help ID the little red worm by the white rock, and the shrimp-looking dude who swims into view of the camera.
