| Here’s a good information source about keeping an axolotl Posted: 16 Sep 2020 07:40 AM PDT It's a semi academic article that, among other things, contains info about their behavior and diseases, so it may be helpful for a beginner axolotl enthusiast. https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.645.9165&rep=rep1&type=pdf [link] [comments] | ||

| I popped an unused tea bath in the fridge overnight - can I still use it? Posted: 16 Sep 2020 08:08 AM PDT Obviously I'm going to let it get to temp first, but I was wondering if there's anything bad than can possibly happen from using the bath, it was brewed about 10pm last night? | Need fan/cooler recommendations in UK. Tank won't stay cool for long periods of time Posted: 16 Sep 2020 03:17 AM PDT I have a fan going at all times and change the water with colder water. I also use frozen water bottles and the heat is off in my bedroom. The temp never stays below 20 though. I'm thinking about getting a tank cooler but they are very expensive and I can't really afford it. I've tried so many things, but it's only ever a quick fix. I only recently started checking the temp (as told wrong info when given the axolotl) but I don't want to risk my axie becoming sick. It's currently summer, which could be a factor - my room temp is 23-26 degrees but I have the window open and heating off always. Probably the coldest room in the house. What can I do rather than a quick fix? Any fan or cooler recommendations? My fan is this but it isn't very good. Any advice welcome. Thank you [link] [comments] | ||
