How long will snails survive in transit?

I'm considering buying some ramshorns from an eBay seller, but with the current state of the post office I'm on the fence about it.

How do I know if my ramshorn snails’ shells are healthy?

Posted: 18 Sep 2020 06:01 AM PDT

Some look a bit more see through than others and I was wondering if that's normal? Colour variation maybe? They have enough calcium available from the Snail Stixx food and calcium block. I'm only a few months into the hobby so please be kind, I do love my snails so much.

Additional info: Snail colony started with red and pink ramshorns. They're housed with my shrimp. Water parameters are good and I do 15-20% water changes weekly depending on my readings and add salty shrimp to the water to maintain KH/GH for my shrimp.

I want to get some new mystery snails, but I need some advice

Posted: 18 Sep 2020 05:33 AM PDT

I've owned mystery snails in the past, but they've never lasted very long and I feel awful about it. I've done research but nothing has helped. I was hoping that before I attempt to own anymore of them if you guys could give me some beginners advice on how to care for them? I own a nearly 1 year old tank with a goldfish, a platy, and a gourami if that helps. Its a ten gallon, too. Thank you in advance for any help you can give!
