Worried about the safety of my snails!

Posted: 20 Sep 2020 12:05 AM PDT

I was a dummy and bought a kuhli loach without researching first. When I came home and started to, I found they eat snails!!! I'm terrified, but some people said they never had problems with them! Should I be worried?

Anyone else heard of a nerite living longer than 7 years?

I have a nerite snail that is over 7 years old and apparently their lifespan is 1-2 years?! I'm curious if anyone else has had one for this long. I've gotten a bit attached to it since I've had it for so long 🙂

I was interested in these because it said slow growing/breeding, but I can't find any info on them at all. Given the only description I can find is in the seller's listings on aquabid and ebay, I'm a little wary. Does anyone have experience with these, and if not, any suggestions for something similar?

First clutch of mystery snails eggs!

Posted: 19 Sep 2020 11:33 AM PDT

Just woke up this morning to my first clutch. Currently have them in tupperware (wet paper towels on bottom, dry on top, eggs on dry) and I was wondering how often (or if) I should spray them with water to keep them moist. Thanks!
